April 2011 – Reining is a western-style competition requiring riders to guide their horses through a precise pattern of circles, spins and stops at high speed. The horse is judged on its ability to perform the patterns. Arenas have to be in top condition for this event, which is why they are treated with a Slider: a tool that loosens the ground to keep it perfect. The Slider is hot-dip galvanized by Verzinkerij Kampen and various components are then powder coated by Poedercoating Hoogeveen.

March 2011 – The development of the new Blauwestad residential area in Oost-Groningen is still in full swing. In addition to new homes, the project includes the Oldambt Lake, the Reiderwolde nature area and various recreational facilities. To encourage tourism, cycle paths have been set out and, recently, the second bike ferry between the marina in Beerta and Reiderwolde went into operation. The steel ferry and the jetties were hot-dip galvanised by Verzinkerij Kampen. The jetties include Staco floor gratings.

February 2011 – With more than 21,000 students, and locations in Deventer, Enschede and Apeldoorn, Hogeschool Saxion is one of the largest schools of higher education in the Netherlands. The location in Enschede has moved into a 37-metre-high training tower. The building has acquired a 'second skin' that will retain heat in the winter and keep it cool in the summer. Verzinkerij Kampen hot-dip galvanised the steel structure for the frame of the outer wall.

December 2010 – A company in Kampen specialising in EPDM products has a unique training location entirely in the style of the 1950s. In the middle of the room, there is a steel spiral staircase with Staco perfo treads that is a perfect match for the interior. Verzinkerij Kampen hot-dip galvanised the stairs and the treads.

November 2010 – Dutch love their apples. Top of the hit list are Elstar, Jonagold and Jonagored. Apples are harvested at the end of the summer and in early autumn. Apples can be cool-stored so that they are available all year. The steel structure and the steel girders of an apple storage chamber in Zeewolde were hot-dip galvanised by Verzinkerij Kampen.

October 2010 – The North-East Polder was reclaimed in the 1940s. The Vissering pumping station has an important role to play in keeping the low-lying polder dry. The pumping station was given a thorough overhaul recently. During that operation, Verzinkerij Kampen blasted and galvanised the steel trash racks.

September 2010 – Low-energy products and system solutions for air conditioning, ventilation and heat recovery are used in a range of sectors such as non-residential buildings, shipping, offshore, defence and and horticulture. To safeguard the quality and useful life of these products and systems, they are made from sustainable materials, and Verzinkerij Kampen hot-dip galvanises the steel foundation frames.

August 2010 – The city of Enschede is doing all it can to breathe new life into the buildings which characterise the hey-day of the textile industry, its industrial heritage. That was also the case with Spinnerij Oosterveld, an industrial building dating from 1911. The former cotton mill was transformed into a modern business complex with 95 units. Some of the fire escapes have been worked into a 20-metre high work of art. The steel staircases and the work of art were hot-dip galvanised by Verzinkerij Kampen.

The building has acquired a ‘second skin’ that will retain heat in the winter and keep it cool in the summer. The offices have also been furnished with Staco louvre gratings that were galvanised and powder coated in Wolvega. Poedercoating Heerhugowaard powder coated the wall cladding panels. Verzinkerij Kampen galvanised the steel elements and the structure for the second skin.

They enjoy being outside to cook, relax, enjoy themselves with friends and family, preferably staying outside for as long as possible. And to keep warm even when the temperature drops, the garden fire is just the right thing. Verzinkerij Kampen hot-dip galvanises the concrete mats, fireplaces and flues for these garden fires.
